Winmarine & Nauticom
Freeport, Bahamas - Winmarine (Philip Gordon) from the Cayman Islands and Nauticom succesfully combined forces and performed an SVDR and Radio installation/survey in the Bahamas.

Germanischer Lloyd
Curacao - Germanischer Lloyd succesfully performed an audit for NAUTICOM to become an approved service provider for Radio Safety Surveys and VDR Annual Performance Test. Soon NAUTICOM will be able to provide these services to GL classed vessels.

Radio Safety Surveys
Curacao - As of now, Nauticom has approved and qualified Radio Surveyors to conduct Radio Safety Surveys in the Caribbean area and specificly the Netherlands Antilles. Our staff is trained, certified and experienced and uses calibrated GMDSS-testers to ensure quality of service. Contact our service department for more infomation.

RUTTER SVDR installation
Martinique - Our service department succesfully installed a Rutter SVDR on the container ship CMA CGM St Martin in Fort de France, Martinique. The carriage requirements for (S)VDR installations is as follows:
“20,000 gross tonnage and upwards constructed before 1 July 2002, at the first scheduled dry-docking after 1 July 2006 but not later than 1 July 2009.
3,000 gross tonnage and upwards but less than 20,000 gross tonnage constructed before 1 July 2002, at the first scheduled dry-docking after 1 July 2007 but not later than 1 July 2010.
Administrations may exempt cargo ships from the application of the requirements when such ships will be taken permanently out of service within two years after the implementation date specified above".

Lloyds Register approval
Curacao - Lloyds Register officially approved and certified NAUTICOM as Service Supplier to conduct Radio Safety Surveys. Soon, NAUTICOM will start performing these services to customers which are classed with LR. Please return to the news section for more information.

Arbol Grande IT system upgraded
Curacao - DeepOcean awarded NAUTICOM to upgrade the IT infrastructure from the Arbol Grande. The network will be connected to the Norwegian Exchange system through the newly installed VSAT system, which Nauticom will connect and seperate the client's system from the ship's system.
